General Southwest Insurance was established in 1969. Jay Binsfeld, A Wisconsin native, relocated to Arizona in 1973 and purchased General Southwest Insurance Agency in 1975. Though still active in the agency, the business is now owned by sons Joe, Dave and John.

A regional company, General Southwest is licensed in more than 20 states. We insure over 5,000 business and personal lines clients. With a management team dedicated to the professional growth of employees, a majority of our staff hold advanced professional designations.

In today's business environment of 1-800 call centers and corporate consolidations, it can be challenging to find good customer service. Our commitment to clients becomes obvious when you call our office. More often than not you will get to speak directly with your agent. If he or she is not available at that time we have a committed staff of customer service people dedicated to assisting you.
